Spyderco byrd Meadowlark2 Black G-10 PlainEdge Knife
Product Description The newest evolution of the Meadowlark is the Meadowlark2 with a G-10 handle. It has a full-flat ground high performance 8Cr13MoV blade. Shaped like a comet the hole in the blade symbolizes quality and careful manufacturing tolerances. On the blades spine is a group of crosshatching called jimping. Jimping enhances the thumbs grip on top of the blade making cutting slip-resistant. Available for the first time with a four-way clip that carries tip-up/tip down or left/right-handed, it attaches inside a pants pocket where it rides deep and confidently. A finger choil enhances the ergonomic G-10 handle adding comfort and control. Mid-positioned back lock has a David Boye cut away dent, a safety feature allowing the handle to be tightly gripped without unintentionally releasing the lock. Amazon.com The Meadowlark Lightweight has long been one of the bestselling knives in Spyderco’s value-priced byrd line of cutlery, and this second generation model offers several design improvements over the original. Upgrades include a full flat-ground blade, proprietary Bi-Directional Textured finish for nonslip performance, and phosphor bronze pivot washers for exacting blade operation. Jimping along the spine and choil create a solid grip in your hand, and a four-position clip enables a variety of carrying positions. About Spyderco Thinking beyond established knife industry practices has allowed Spyderco to introduce new innovations, including one-hand opening, serrations on a folder, and a clip to attach a knife to a pocket. Spyderco remains dedicated to researching and developing improved, better-performing materials with function and reliability, and its unique cutlery line is a result of designing ergonomic, functional tools. The company puts its new products through rigorous testing prior to release, examining edge retention with a CATRA machine, looking for rust development with Q-FOG, checking the force needed to open and close a knife, and analyzing numerous other technical details.
